Below: David John Morrison-Young completed his Diploma in Theology & Higher Diploma in Theology in 2014, now receives his Diploma in Biblical Counselling from the principal and conferred by Dr.G.Rajoo.  He is currently completing his B.Th (Hons) with BTCSA. His wife Louise Anne Morrison –Young also graduates with the Diploma in Counselling. He is the student Speaker.

Students graduated with the Certificate in Ministry (1st year course); Diploma in Theology (3yr course); Diploma in Counselling (2yr.course) and Diploma in Pastoral Ministry (2 yr Course). WE GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY FOR 12 YEARS of Teaching & Training with 309 graduands in total to date. We are trusting God to send MORE & MORE applicants for 2016. COTESA is NOT a Baptist College although the principal is an ordained Baptist. We are open to all denominations and we do not IMPOSE our doctrines. We merely teach the TRUTH and allow students to search the Scriptures for themselves as the Bereans did when Paul preached.

COTESA INFORMATION FOR 2016

 

COTESA offers Theological training by distance learning but also conducts lectures in various satellite centres. Students have an option to study from home or attend classes for the full duration per subject. But ALL students MUST (1) attend classes for the 9 week subjects (2) write a common Exam in Class for ALL subjects. (3) Students studying from home are compelled to attend the weekend lectures (Fri 7-9 & Sat.8am – 7pm) to complete 6 subjects over 6 weekends.

  1. Diploma in Theology. 3 yrs. Reg.Fee R150 with application form. Course Fee R1200 incl. 1 A4 Textbook with 8 subjects.

Long standing pastors and leaders with prior Bible studies may be allowed to enrol. On completion of the full course he/she may proceed to the Bachelor of Theology degree (T’s & C’s apply).

Pastors already in fulltime or bi-vocation ministry who prefer to sit in for lectures and be tested orally or complete an Open book Exam would not be required to complete the Thesis and cannot proceed to the B.Th. degree. However they would graduate with a Diploma in Ministry (T’s & C’s apply).

  • Students MUST comply with the standard set by the College and submit neatly written or typed assignments
  • Exams are compulsory. Absenteeism will not be tolerated. Students will not be allowed to write Exams at a later date or time.
  • Communication by email unless urgent by phone. NO PLEASE CALL ME . Lecturers are NOT obligated to call students.
  • DO not send assignments etc by fax. Only emails allowed.
  • Fees must be deposited into COTESA BANK ACCOUNT by the due date.
  • Each student will have to register & have his/her own textbooks.
  • COTESA is a distance Learning College. Students do not pay for tuitions. Therefore we expect students to make a contribution towards Lecturers/tutors travel & time.
  • No discounts or exceptions made for couples or students from the same family. Everyone must pay the required fees.
  • Attending classes with used textbooks is NOT ALLOWED because books are revised all the time . Each student must have his/her own text book- NO SHARING,
  • If a student fails to meet the standard & grade for a Diploma programme, he/she would graduate with CERTIFICATE instead of a DIPLOMA.
  • If a student studying from home fails to submit assignments & write Exams within the given period or fails to inform the College of his/her situation and intention, the college may remove the him/her from the students list. But if the student wishes to resume studies again, he/she must make the necessary adjustments with regards to the study material & fees. Also he/she must re-register.
